Research structure

The aim of geosciences’ research is to understand the history and the evolution of the solid part of the Earth System and its interaction with other components of that system, such as the Biosphere, the Atmosphere and the Hydrosphere.

The Institute aims to develop collaboration and synergy among the members of the center itself, but also with other CSIC’s and national and international geosciences’ centers and research groups.
