Representatives from all four partners of SIT4ME project met together via video-conference last 23rd June for a new working meeting to prepare the last year of the project. Ramon Carbonell (PI), Irene DeFelipe and Juan Alcalde, from ICTJA-CSIC; Alireza Malehmir, from Uppsala University, Stefan Buske, from TUBAF, and Dirk Orlowsky gathered online to update the progress of the project and to plan the next activities.
During the meeting, participants analyzed the results of the latest scientific experiments which have shown promising preliminary results. A number of publications based upon data acquired during the fieldwork campaigns carried out in Elvira-Sotiel and Zinkgruvan in 2018 are on their way: one paper is under revision and two others will be submitted over this year.
The attendees also discussed the results of the annual evaluation made by EIT Raw Materials. This meeting served also as a preparation for the project Annual Meeting that will take place in August. Other upcoming activities were discussed along the meeting, including the organization of an online course on seismic imaging for mineral exploration, to be held next November.
SIT4ME project, funded by EIT Raw Materials, is expected to finish in March 2021.
